Community Engagement
Community Engagement
Service embodies the principle
“Whoever would be
great among you
must be your servant”
and is a learning process that integrates school
education with community engagement,
contributing to the growth of both the individual
and the community.
Through collaboration with various communities,
including impoverished countries, local communities,
churches, organizations, and people with disabilities,
we support missionary and service activities,
fostering leadership in service.
Rural Mission Service Activities
Rural Mission Service Activity Program
Partnering with churches in rural areas (Icheon, Gyeonggi-do; Eumseong, Chungcheongbuk-do), we engage in service and missionary work.
(Ongoing school program)
Overseas Mission Service Activities
Dream Mate, Global Friend Project
A program pairing students with children and
youth in impoverished countries, promoting support and
communication through letters and book challenges,
embodying service and responsibility. (Ongoing since 2017)
Academy Mission Activities
Paichai Companions (Class Mission) Program
In collaboration with the Korea Methodist Church’s Seoul South Conference,
Bait-Salt Church (on campus), and Paichai Alumni Pastors’ Association, selected ministers (pastors and young adults) engage in missionary activities.
Through the participation of local churches and alumni, mentors are appointed as teachers, fostering a faith-based educational community.
Youth Engineering Leader Activities
Maker Space Hub Program
Providing education in AI autonomous vehicles, robotics, and drones, participants visit local children’s centers to share knowledge as junior engineering class instructors.
Blood Donation Campaign
Remembering Appenzeller’s Love for Life 122 Program
In memory of Reverend Appenzeller, who sacrificed his life on June 11, 1902, to save a Korean student, this blood donation campaign involves voluntary participation from staff and students.
Volunteer Activities for People with Disabilities
Pine Tree Volunteer Program
Every Saturday, volunteers assist in programs at a Saturday school for people with disabilities operated by a nearby church, helping with meals, conversation, walks, and activities.
